Cookies and browser storage

Garbo only uses first-party technical cookies and storage that the service needs to work. No profiling or advertising cookies, no third-party scripts: that is why we show you no consent banner.
What we use and why
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser; the browser's local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way but is not sent to the server automatically. Garbo uses both only to run the service you are using.
They are all first-party (read only by Garbo, on its own addresses) and technical: under Italian law (Art. 122 of the Privacy Code and the Garante's Guidelines of 10 June 2021) they need no consent. None of them is used to profile you or to show you advertising.
The digital menu is provided by SM SERVIZI SRLS on behalf of the venue: who processes the data collected this way is described in the privacy notice for guests and, for restaurants, in the notice for customers (in Italian).
In the panel, Garbo Sala and the console (app.garbo-menu.com, admin.garbo-menu.com)
These areas are for restaurants, their staff, partners and the Garbo team. Here cookies are needed for sign-in and security.

Subscription payments take place on Stripe's pages, which use their own cookies under Stripe's privacy notice.
How to manage them
You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings (usually «Clear browsing data» or «Site data»). The service keeps working, but the browser will forget your language and preferences, and you will need to sign in to the panel again.

If we add or change a cookie, we update this page before using it. Should a non-technical cookie ever be needed, we would ask for your explicit consent first.
